Christie Lake

his man-made lake formed as a result of the build-up of water trapped behind the Christie flood control dam. The Lake and its adjacent parklands are popular recreation areas for swimming, boating and fishing; Christie’s nine ponds are stocked with rainbow trout from April to early July each year. The Lake is also part of a 336-hectare conservation area with a network of trails that wind for 10km through various habitats. With pavilions, boat rentals, and acres of grassy parkland, Christie Lake is an ideal getaway for those looking to have fun and relax.
